Un prototype aux lignes strictement identiques avait \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au d\u00e9but de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 1953 au\u00a0Motorama\u00a0de\u00a0General Motors, dans l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel\u00a0Waldorf-Astoria\u00a0de\u00a0New York.<\/p>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re Corvette comportait d\u00e9j\u00e0 de nombreuses innovations\u00a0: c&rsquo;\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re voiture de s\u00e9rie dont les lignes \u00e9taient directement issues d&rsquo;un concept-car, et surtout, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re voiture de s\u00e9rie \u00e0 poss\u00e9der une carrosserie en fibre de verre.<\/p>\n<p>Forte d&rsquo;un succ\u00e8s jamais d\u00e9menti, la Corvette s&rsquo;est d\u00e9clin\u00e9e au fil du temps en divers mod\u00e8les; elle en est actuellement \u00e0 la septi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.
